Vikas Anand serves as Chief Executive Officer for Origis Energy, one of America’s leading renewable energy and decarbonization solution platforms. He joined the company in 2023 fulfilling the roles of Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer.
Anand brings extensive strategic, operational and financial skills to the role, in addition to a nearly decade-long track record in the renewable energy industry. 20 years in successively larger roles with General Electric culminated with leadership in the company’s renewable energy business units. As Chief Executive Officer of GE Renewable Energy – Onshore Wind Americas, he led the business to deliver $7.5B in revenues in 2020, nearly doubling its market share to 53% and restoring GE to the No. 1 position in the highly competitive U.S. market, while improving its profitability and cash-flows. Prior to that, as the Chief Financial Officer of GE Onshore Wind, and as Chief Financial Officer and Investment Committee member of GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services, Anand led the efforts to build financing and project development capabilities to match GE’s renewable technology offerings. Before joining Origis, he served as the Co-founder and Sponsor at GoGreen Investments, which successfully completed a merger with Lifezone Metals, a clean battery metals company, and was an advisor to Brookfield Asset Management and New Mountain Capital in the renewable power sector.
Anand has served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of American Clean Power Association (ACPA) and was a founding member of its Diversity & Inclusion Industry Task Force. He was also the executive sponsor of the GE Renewable Energy Junior Officer Leadership Program, a hiring and development program for U.S. military veterans.
His educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School – New York and Chartered Accountancy Certification in India.
Alice Heathcote serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and brings extensive financial leadership experience in the renewable energy sector to Origis Energy. Most recently, she served as Chief Financial Officer at Strata Clean Energy, where she led the corporate finance, capital markets, M&A, and portfolio finance functions. She chaired the Risk Committee and was a member of the four-member Investment Committee, playing a key role in risk and capital management.
Prior to joining Strata, Heathcote spent seven years at ContourGlobal, a global independent power producer. During her tenure, she held several leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Financing and Acquisitions, where she led ContourGlobal’s IPO on the London Stock Exchange and spearheaded the acquisition of 1.5 GW of generation assets to support the company’s entry into the U.S. market. She also served for nearly four years as CFO of the Renewable Division, a $350 million EBITDA high-growth business spanning Europe and Latin America.
Heathcote holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Science and Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia.
John Hopkins serves as Chief Investment Officer overseeing underwriting for capital deployment, mergers and acquisitions, and strategies to enhance portfolio profitability. He brings more than 15 years of leadership and investment experience in the renewable energy sector, having worked as an investor and advisor on over $7 billion of energy infrastructure transactions.
Most recently, John was a Managing Director at Harrison Street, a private equity investment management firm, where he spent nearly six years and led origination, execution, and management of U.S. renewable energy investments for the firm’s infrastructure platform. Prior to Harrison Street, he served as a Vice President at Astris Finance, an energy and infrastructure advisory firm, and before that spent six years at GE Energy Financial Services underwriting investments in utility-scale renewable energy projects in the U.S. and abroad. John began his renewable energy career at SunPower Corporation in solar project development, following early roles on equity and fixed income trading desks at Goldman Sachs.
John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Yale University.
Scott Shively is at the forefront of the solar and energy storage industry and brings nearly three gigawatts (GWs) of solar industry project experience to his role as Managing Director Services & Procurement for Origis Energy. His depth of planning, design, engineering, procurement, and construction expertise spans over twenty years, across all regions of the US including Guam and the Caribbean.
Before joining Origis, Mr. Shively served in various vice president roles for both NRG Renew and Strata Solar, where he was responsible for the technical development and execution of 100+ site distributed generation portfolios and large scale utility projects ranging from 20 MW to over 250 MW.
Mr. Shively holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University. He is also a registered architect with licensing from the State of Arizona.
Jamie Edwards is an accomplished executive who brings more than two decades of global infrastructure investment and development expertise to his role as Managing Director Resources for Origis Energy. He is responsible for the asset management of Origis owned solar and storage projects.
His experience in all phases of investment due diligence and asset development resulted in the successful development, financing, design, construction, and commissioning of over USD $20 Billion of capital projects across the Americas, Asia, and Africa.
Mr. Edwards’ career spans a wide range of traditional and renewable energy asset types including solar, wind, hydro, and thermal generation as well as transmission and distribution, telecommunications, transportation, and water projects and investments for C&I clients, investor-owned, municipal, and state-owned utilities.
Prior to joining Origis, Mr. Edwards spent two years at an Africa-focused private equity infrastructure investment firm and 22 years at Black & Veatch, where he served in executive leadership roles in corporate finance and energy business.
Mr. Edwards holds a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and completed post Bachelor Accounting studies at Arizona State University – W. P. Carey School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mike Distefano serves as Managing Director Legal, General Counsel & Secretary of Origis Energy, overseeing all legal matters across the enterprise. As a member of the executive management team, he contributes to strategic planning and advises leadership on legal risks and solutions that support the company’s mission in the clean energy transition.
Mike is a seasoned renewable energy attorney with deep expertise in legal issues related to U.S. renewable energy development, financing, construction, and operations. Prior to joining Origis in 2025, he served as Deputy General Counsel at Avangrid Renewables, supporting both onshore and offshore energy businesses. His earlier career includes roles in project finance and bankruptcy at Chadbourne & Parke in New York and Los Angeles, and in renewable energy and project finance at Sheppard Mullin in Los Angeles.
Mike holds a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, and a B.A. from Boston College.
James Diven leads the Origis Development Team for utility-scale projects to meet the generation and decarbonization goals of a wide variety of customers.
With nearly three decades of experience, he’s managed the development of several thousands of megawatts of solar and wind projects, including solar, solar + storage as well as standalone storage projects. Under his leadership, Origis Energy manages projects with a wide range of customer objectives, geographic parameters and changing market dynamics from early-stage development, through permitting and construction to commercial operation and handoff to operations and maintenance.
Prior to joining Origis, Mr. Diven managed development of utility-scale wind and solar energy generation projects throughout the US and Caribbean with two other renewable energy companies. He has development and permitting experience of natural gas fired power projects and in environmental compliance and permitting for energy projects across the western region of the United States.
Mr. Diven holds a BS in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University – Pomona.
Deborah Kross is a seasoned capital markets leader heading financing for utility scale renewable energy projects at Origis Energy.
Most recently at Wells Fargo as Managing Director, Portfolio Manager for Power, Utilities and Renewables, Ms. Kross has two decades of project finance leadership in North America. Her leadership allows the finance team to build on previous success deploying more than $4 billion in project financing supporting a wide variety of customers’ clean energy and decarbonization goals.
Ms. Kross holds an MSc in Management from HEC Paris Business School.
Tim Jordan is Senior Vice President Project Engineering and Delivery at Origis Energy. He brings over 15 years of extensive utility-scale renewable energy experience, with a focus on self-performing EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) services. Prior to joining Origis, Tim managed the EPC execution of large-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects in excess of 10 GW.
He spent 7 years at Blattner Energy in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, overseeing wind, solar, storage, and transmission projects. Tim also dedicated 8 years at RES, which included his role as Senior Vice President of Renewables, where he oversaw the U.S. business unit focused on solar EPC from design through commissioning.
Tim has led front-end site design and value engineering during project development and lead the execution of complex projects and schedules. He enhanced construction efficiency by implementing new technologies and has demonstrated expertise in building and growing high-performing teams and departments across various roles in the renewable energy sector.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University.
David Groleau serves as Senior Vice President of Origination at Origis Energy. In this role, David leads the team responsible for managing customer relationships, expanding the PPA origination funnel, and executing power purchase agreements that support the financing and construction of new power projects. His team also collaborates closely with the project development group to guide market selection for Origis’ long-term development pipeline.
David brings extensive experience in the power generation industry. Prior to joining Origis, he was Executive Vice President of Origination at Pine Gate Renewables. Over his career, David has played a pivotal role in shaping more than 10 GW of greenfield developments, 3 GW of acquisitions, and successfully negotiating and executing 5 GW of PPAs. Earlier in his career, he gained hands-on experience in renewable project development and managing natural gas power generation facilities.
David earned his MBA from the University of Florida and holds an undergraduate degree from Eastern University.
