Filip Balcaen
Executive Chairman, Baltisse

Mr. Balcaen is the executive chairman of the European based investment house of Baltisse, whose focus is on real estate, private equity and asset management. The firm invests in industry, food & beverage, health care, energy and services sectors. He has extensive experience leading and growing businesses. Following the 2015 share purchase agreement of his luxury flooring company, IVC Group, to Mohawk Industries, he became a shareholder and non-executive director on the board of Mohawk Industries, a U.S. based world leader in the floor-covering sector. Balcaen set up IVC in 1997 and was the chief executive and principal shareholder until its sale to Mohawk.  He brings international business acumen, U.S. market vision and financial expertise to the Origis board.

Geert Bossuyt
Founding Partner, Tell Group

Mr. Bossuyt is the founding partner of the Tell Group, an international company providing independent financial advisory and asset management services, focused on Middle East and North Africa.  Previously a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank heading up the Islamic Financing division and Head of Middle East and North Africa structuring. He is a specialist in complex financial structuring and well versed in the international banking environment.

Raf Decaluwé,
Manager/Owner, Gobes GCV

Mr. Decaluwé heads a private consultancy specializing in business strategy, change management and board governance for private and public companies. While serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bekaert Group, he was instrumental in the investment by the Bekaert group in Uni Solar Inc., a producer of flexible solar panels. Mr. Decaluwé has a keen interest in the industrial and technological developments within the solar industry and also brings a wealth of experience in international businesses, strategy and corporate governance.

Steven De Keyser,
Group CEO, GEVERS

Mr. De Keyser serves as the group Chief Executive Officer for GEVERS, European intellectual property services firm, and is a managing partner of Binon-Dekeyser, a strategy and operational consultancy to the professional services industry with a focus on law firms. Mr. De Keyser previously headed the Continental European legal practice of DLA Piper, and was a member of the worldwide executive committee of DLA Piper. He brings expertise in matters of law and contracting to the Origis Energy team.

Paul Thiers

Paul Thiers brings decades of investment and business development acumen to his role at Origis Energy. He has been a guiding force in the company since its inception. As a non-executive director and co-founder, he currently oversees investor relations and is a member of the management committee and the advisory board.

Prior to aligning with Origis, Mr. Thiers held the position of co-CEO and Board Member, of the Unilin Group, where he was instrumental in its explosive growth. Within Unilin, his role included being the driving force behind the initiatives with respect to renewable energy (biomass). After the acquisition of the Unilin Group by Mohawk Industries (2005), Mr. Thiers served as initiator, counselor and/or investor for several businesses such as Pentahold (private equity), Altior (executive search) and Origis.

Mr. Thiers is an independent board member in several companies including Deceuninck Plastics, Accent NV, Jobs for People, Vergokan and d-artagnan. He holds a Master of Laws degree (KU Leuven) and is a graduate of the Vlerick Management School.

Luc Vandewalle

Mr. Vandewalle spent 38 years in progressively larger roles with Banque Bruxelles Lambert (ING), finally serving as Chief Executive Officer of ING Belgium.  In this role he had direct responsibility for South-Western Europe covering Belgium, France, Luxemburg, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland.  In 2011 he became a member of the Board of Directors of ING Group. Mr. Vandewalle serves as a
