Origis Services is proud to participate again this year as sponsor of the Infocast Solar + Wind Finance & Investment Summit in Scottsdale AZ, March 12-15, 2023.

Infocast’s 2022 unified Solar + Wind Finance & Investment Summit gathered an unprecedented number of leading industry players to network, make deals, and get fully briefed on the renewables markets.

With the tailwind of the Inflation Reduction Act turbocharging tax credits and providing long-term policy certainty, and the headwinds of supply chain woes, tariffs and the anti-dumping investigation, this is a particularly critical year to attend Solar + Wind Finance and Investment Summit.

Panel Discussion: Labor & Apprenticeship Issues post-Inflation Reduction Act

The IRA is estimated to add nearly 1.5 million jobs to the US economy: It includes tens of billions to grow US renewables manufacturing and critical minerals facilities, and the Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship Requirements incentivize the creation and use of apprenticeship programs on all levels of the industry. But how can these programs work to both attract and train talent in a time when everyone is already struggling to hire? What does the industry need to do to take full advantage of these tax credits?

  • Is there going to be enough labor available, what are the prevailing wages, and how does the industry attract and train workers?
  • Starting your own apprenticeship program: what do you need to qualify and set this up? What does this do to project or operational costs?
  • How does apprenticeship affect tax credits under IRA?
  • How can the industry at large support the IRA’s goals for domestic manufacturing while maintaining uninterrupted access to equipment and timely delivery?
