Synopsis
A groundswell of local opposition to permitting renewable energy continues to plague the development of solar and other renewables, making it increasingly likely that projects will encounter difficulties siting in otherwise suitable areas. Many groups and constituencies have expressed a range of concerns with solar, wind, and storage projects. In response many national organizations and private companies are developing methods to court vital constituencies, combat disinformation campaigns, and educate local government officials.
This panel will examine the sources of local opposition, and progress to date on developing effective methods to overcome these hurdles.

- What methods are proving effective to further development of renewable energy?
