MIAMI, Fla., October 11, 2021 – Origis Energy, a top ten ranked U.S. solar and energy storage project developer, today announced a $25,000.00  philanthropic grant to Healing4Heroes, located in Atlanta, Georgia. The non-profit is dedicated to assisting wounded military personnel and veterans with the assistance of A.D.A. compliant service animals.

The Origis Energy grant stems from the company’s GA Solar 3 – Tanglewood Solar project and its commitment to making lasting contributions to the communities in which it works. GA Solar 3 is a 57.5 MWac solar project located in Mitchell County, Georgia, completed in 2020.

“Origis Energy is proud to support the worthy work of Piper Hill and her Healing4Heroes organization,” said Natacha Standaert, Origis Energy Foundation Manager. “Since the formal establishment of her organization in 2010, her work has touched the lives of many military families.  Our goal is to contribute to the communities in which our large scale solar projects exist. The support of programs for veterans is one of many ways we seek to partner and create value in the communities where Origis Energy has a presence.”

Healing4Heroes provides trained ADA compliant service dogs for military service members suffering from PTSD and other traumatic wounds of war. The organization also saves the lives of unwanted shelter dogs by rescuing them and training them to become A.D.A. complaint service animals. The dogs allow soldiers to move forward and live more productive lives. At the same time, the veterans give the dogs a purpose in life and the chance to be loved and part of a family.

“Thank you Origis! Your very generous donation has been crucial funding for us this year,” said Piper Hill, Founder, Healing4Heroes. “Our organization has suffered from COVID impacts. Donations had pretty much dried up when you came to our rescue. However, the need for help by wounded service members, veterans and shelter dogs does not stop. Because of all of this, we are even more grateful for your extremely generous donation.”
