When completed, the Origis Mississippi complex for TVA will have a total solar capacity of 750 MW plus 350 MW of battery storage, bringing more locally produced energy production to industrial and retail customers.
Origis Energy developed, constructed and will operate the projects for TVA. Each site will deliver electricity at competitive rates under Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) executed between TVA and Origis.

TVA reports that over the past five years, the region’s GDP has grown 2.9%, outpacing the national average of 2.4%, and the unemployment rate has dropped by 0.3% while the U.S. has grown by 0.4%.
Upon completion of the plants, Origis Energy Services will operate and maintain the portfolio, employing approximately 9 on-site jobs over the 35+ project life years.

Estimated economic benefits from the three projects include $106 million in near-term construction and hiring gains to the area. Over the life of the solar plants, they will provide another $145 million in estimated regional economic benefits.
