Project Overview

Optimist is part of a portfolio of projects in Mississippi, including Golden Triangle I, Golden Triangle II and Hope.

When completed, the Origis Mississippi complex for TVA will have a total solar capacity of 750 MW plus 350 MW of battery storage, bringing more locally produced energy production to industrial and retail customers.

Origis Energy developed, constructed and will operate the projects for TVA. Each site will deliver electricity at competitive rates under Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) executed between TVA and Origis.

“Our electric system is critical for both national security and economic development, and TVA is helping to build the domestic supply chain that will the foundation for American energy dominance,” said Jeremy Fisher, senior vice president, Business Strategy & Commercial Affairs. “We need transformative solutions, and TVA is taking a leading role in supporting energy independence while creating jobs and economic development in the communities we serve.”
