A 75 MWac project for Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA), in conjunction with 4 Florida municipal electric utilities.
Whistling Duck is part of Phase 2 of the Florida Municipal Solar Project, which includes both Rice Creek Solar in Putnam County and Whistling Duck Solar in Levy County. Together, they generate nearly 150 megawatts of solar energy.

Wanzek Construction provided construction services to Origis for the project.
PV Modules for the project were supplied by First Solar.
Rice Creek generates 74.9 MWac, enough electricity to power approximately 14,000 homes.

Four utilities receive power from the Rice Creek solar facility, including Homestead, Keys Energy Services (Key West), Lake Worth Beach, and Winter Park.
“As Whistling Duck commences its commercial operations, the Florida Municipal Solar Project can conclude Phase II of its solar expansion across 13 different communities,” said Jacob Williams, general manager and CEO of FMPA. “Through this project, we have added 300 total MW of solar energy, which strengthens our ability to provide reliable and cost-effective solar power to our members while supporting long-term price stability for the communities they serve.”
