Tanya Sessions, VP Business Development for Grid Power at Origis Energy, joins a panel to discuss the challenges and opportunities for developing new solar projects during the Southeast Renewable Energy Conference in Charlotte, NC from December 5-7, 2023.

Topic: Changing Dynamics of Renewable Energy Development

Panel Date: Thursday, December 7 at 8:30-9:15 am

The IRA, market forces and the permitting environment are radically changing the development game in the Southeast. Energy community and other adders are driving developers to re-map project siting paradigms, while increasing capex and other costs are driving a wave of renegotiations around PPAs. New restrictions are challenging the ability to efficiently site solar, but a general increase in price curves due to natural gas prices could emphasize the relative value of renewable energy. This panel will address how these market forces are changing development, and the potential solutions they are using.
